Director Larraine Brown invites performers of all ages to be part of a local theater piece to be performed Saturday, July 14 at 7 p.m. with author and Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin at the Waldo County Shrine Club.

Those interested in possibly participating are invited to gather Sunday, June 17 at 4 p.m. at “The Office,” 17A Main St., to hear all about the exciting local theater project. The focus of the performance will address the theme of Benjamin’s book “Drone Warfare: Killing by Remote Control.” For more information, Code Pink’s website is

The rehearsal schedule is as follows, in a space to be announced: Sunday, June 24 at 4 p.m.; Sunday through Tuesday, July 1 through 3 at 4 p.m.; Thursday, July 5 at 4 p.m.; Sunday, July 8 at 4 p.m.; and Friday, July 13 at 6 p.m.

Brown said meetings/rehearsals will run about two hours. People should wear comfortable clothing and come with pens, paper and any objects and thoughts that they find interesting, provocative and useful.

“Together, we will create our own script, music, sound and props,” she said.
