Key Bank Maine and Women, Work, and Community (WWC) statewide have partnered in a training called Credit Yourself, a four-module training for community participants who want to learn good use of credit and set financial goals. Key Bank has provided the funding, while WWC facilitated the training. Participants who complete the modules and write a financial plan are eligible to apply for a $250 award to assist in achieving their goals.

Credit Yourself was offered in Maine for three years, and both organizations announce that a drawing resulted i10 winners around the state. Richard Lenfest was the Belfast-area recipient, who commented that the class “ …provided the necessary information on understanding credit reports and what can be done.”
