Law enforcement officials with the Belfast Police Department reported the following recent activity:

June 19

John Seekins, 18, of Belfast was summoned for speeding for driving 65 mph in a 45 mph zone and illegal transportation of liquor by a minor.

Kurt E. Carlson, 50, of Belfast was backing out of a space at EBS Building Supply in Belfast, as he was attempting to back a 2006 Ford pickup into another space in the lot. At the same time Herbert Black, 58, of Northport was driving through the lot in his 1997 Chevrolet passenger van in search of a parking space. Carlson failed to see Black approaching and backed into the passenger side of the van. Neither of the drivers was hurt in the collision.

A 1996 Jeep registered to 83-year-old Charles Pendleton of Islesboro was parked legally and unattended on the curb at 8 Waldo Avenue. Leonard Cuzner, 62, of Morrill backed out of a parking lot directly across the street and backed into Pendleton’s vehicle. Cuzner was not injured.

June 20

Mark Eddy, 54, of Waldo, inspection sticker violation, operating after suspension, carrying a concealed weapon (firearm), operating without a license, sale and use of drug paraphernalia, possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

William Runci, 39, of Swanville, violating a protection order, violating conditions of release.

William Webb, 71, of Belfast was about to pull out onto Route 1 from the southbound ramp in his 2000 Honda when he saw a vehicle was approaching in the oncoming lane. Meanwhile Evan Welch, 20, of Belfast was watching traffic and had stopped watching Webb’s vehicle as Webb stopped to allow the oncoming car to pass. Welch later told police he thought Webb had already moved into traffic and he moved ahead, striking Webb’s vehicle in the rear. No one was hurt.

Alexander J. Morris, 20, of Stockton Springs was headed eastbound Main Street in a 2001 Chevrolet pickup. Simultaneously, 59-year-old Marcia Longmaid of Lincolnville was entering the intersection from Front Street and crossing Main Street as a result, Longmaid reportedly collided with Morris. No one was injured, but police summoned Longmaid on a charge of failure to yield resulting in a collision.

June 22

Danielle Nelson, 39, of Belfast, operating without a license.

June 24

Ryan G. Trisch, 41, of Searsport, operating after suspension.

Jason A. Oko, 35, of Corinth, inspection sticker violation.

Aaron S. Dallman, 22, of Monmouth, inspection sticker violation (none).

June 25

Brian M. Allison, 44, of Waldo, failure to stop for an officer, operating under the influence.

Michael Ripley, 21, of Belfast, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, assault on an officer.
