A new art exhibit titled “A Searsmont Garden” will open with a reception for the artists Friday, July 6 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Searsmont Town Library in the Community Center, intersection of routes 131 and 173.

The show highlights a variety of artists displaying works that celebrate the garden and the summer landscape. While Midcoast gardens may be wet, slug-filled and deer-munched, this garden promises to be sunny and interesting. “A Searsmont Garden” will run through August.
