Soprano Catharine Cloutier will join the Somerset Consort for an evening of Baroque music Tuesday, July 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, 33 Chestnut St. The program will include music of Bach, Handel, Vivaldi, Loeillet and Roman.  There is no admission charge and no suggested donation.

A resident of Liberty and a former Mt. View Chamber Singer, Cloutier is a music education major with a vocal concentration at the University of Maine in Orono. Somerset Consort members are Diana Brookes Brown, flute; Lorna S. Russell, viola da gamba; and Carlton T. Russell, harpsichord. Brown has concertized throughout New England and teaches flute and voice privately at Waterfall Arts in Belfast. Lorna Russell, also an organist, shares with her husband Carlton the music ministry at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Blue Hill. Carlton Russell is dean of the Bangor Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and instructor in the Organ Education Program centered at First Congregational Church, Searsport.

St. Thomas’ is located at the corner of Chestnut and Wood streets, and the parish hall is handicap accessible via the Wood Street entrance. Parking is available on both streets or in a parking lot across Wood Street from the church. For more information, call 567-3119.
