Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between July 8 and 15. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 1-800-452-4664.

July 8

Trooper Jonathan Russell charged Devin Trull, 19, with illegal transportation of alcohol by a minor after stopping Trull’s vehicle on Route 220 in Knox. Joshua Raven, 20, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with possession of a usable amount of marijuana and William Slaughter, 22, was charged with having an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.

July 9

Police investigated complaint of a stolen mailbox in Monroe. The investigation determined the mailbox was not stolen but removed, because it was obstructing the neighbor’s view of oncoming traffic while leaving his driveway. The mailbox was returned and no charges were filed.

July 10

Trooper Christopher Smith received a report of underage drinking at the dam on Swan Lake. No alcohol or intoxicated people were found in the area.

July 11

Police investigated a harassment complaint in Swanville. No charges were filed.

Amanda Bracy, 31, was arrested for violating conditions of release after police responded to a suspicious incident on Main Street in Winterport.

July 13

Trooper Benjamin Sweeney stopped Dennis Merry, 24, of Searsport for speeding on Route 141 in Monroe.

Trooper Smith investigated a burglary complaint in Swanville. The investigation is still under way.

June 15

Sean Wilkins, 21, of Montville was charged with operating under the influence after his vehicle was stopped on Route 3 in Montville for erratic operation.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
