On Friday, July 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,, the Belfast Farmers’ Market will take place at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St. There will be three author events, in conjunction with the Belfast Bound Book Festival.

From 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., local children’s book author and illustrator Steve Costanza will give a reading and provide a children’s activity. His picture book credits include the recently released “A Christmas Spider’s Miracle” and “Vivaldi and the Invisible Orchestra,” and he has just finished the paintings for the upcoming picture book “A Book of Mistakes,” due in October.

Lisa Colburn, author of “The Maine Garden Journal — Insider secrets from Maine people who love to put their hands in the dirt,” will give a presentation and book signing from 10 to 11 a.m. Artist and educator Russell Kahn will provide a pottery demo from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; and from 11 a.m. to noon, of “New Maine Cooking” author Jean Ann Pollard will give a cooking demonstration and book signing.

The Market’s Main Street Festivals take place on upper Main Street between Church and High streets the first Friday of each month through October. For a list of this season’s 26 vendors, visit belfastfarmersmarket.org.
