The Friends of Fort Knox will bring Ten Bucks Theater Company’s production of William Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” to the Fort Knox Historic Site off Route 174. Outdoor performances will be Thursday through Sunday, Aug. 2 through 5 at 6 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. Ten Bucks Theatre Company’s annual Shakespeare Under The Stars event promises to fill the site with actors, lovers and magical fairyland creatures. The Friends of Fort Knox are a nonprofit group whose mission is to preserve Fort Knox and enhance its educational, cultural and economic value for the people of Maine. The Maine Department of Conservation’s Bureau of Parks and Lands owns Fort Knox on behalf of the people of Maine.
