A “People” show is on view through Sept. 1 at the Badger Café & Pub, on the Common. The work is realist, more or less, plus or minus — portraits, figures, people in or out of context — and the central image or compositional element of interest is a person or people.
Mythical, mystical, primordial-from-the-edge of the twilight, contemporary people or a mixture of the two or three are expressed in studio work, life studies, views near to home or out at the swimming hole.
Artists participating are Christina Barstow, Rockport; Naya Blue, Unity; Clarity (Robert and Su.Sane Hake), Rockland and Warren; Janelle Delicata, Prospect; Asha Fenn, Sandy Point; Elisabeth Goodridge, Appleton; Judith Mitchell, Waldoboro; ED Moffitt, Belfast and Sandy Point; and Deb Vendetti.
