The church families of the Searsport United Methodist Church and North Searsport United Methodist Church invite the public to the third annual Labor Day Hymn-Sing. On Sunday, Sept. 2, the churches will be hold a joint worship experience outside the North Searsport United Methodist Church at 9 a.m. (rain location is inside the church). They will be constructing a “musical sermon” together with some of the congregations’ favorite hymns, focusing on the rest and renewal found in God, empowering believers for their daily labors in the name of Jesus Christ. For those who do not feel comfortable with the outdoor festivities, there will be an abbreviated worship service at the Searsport Church at its usual time of 11 a.m.

The North Searsport United Methodist Church is located at the intersection of Mount Ephraim Road and the Loop Road, seven miles from downtown Searsport, and near the North Searsport Fire Station. Searsport United Methodist Church is located across the street from the Penobscot Marine Museum on Main Street (Route 1) in downtown Searsport.
