On Friday, Sept. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Belfast Farmers’ Market hosts its monthly Main Street Festival on upper Main Street between Church and High streets. This month, there will be an extended Market on High Street, between Pendleton Lane and Main Street, in conjunction with Maine Farmland Trust’s MaineFare event, which will run until 3 p.m. For more information about MaineFare, which includes an outdoor farmers’ market lunch at noon, panel discussions, “Truck Farm” screening and more, visit maine-fare.org.

Entertainment for the Main Street Festival will be provided by the Belfast Bay Fiddlers, a group of dedicated amateur musicians who play fiddles, mandolins, recorders and whistles, guitars, banjos, accordion and percussion. For more information, visit belfastbayfiddlers.org.

The Market’s Main Street Festivals take place on the first Friday of each month through October. The other Fridays of the month, visit the Market at Waterfall Arts, 256 High St. For a list of this season’s 26 vendors, visit belfastfarmersmarket.org.
