Belfast Free Library will hold the last book discussion in its Summer Irish series Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the library, 106 High St. The books to be discussed are selections from John Banville’s “The Sea” and the short story “Old Wounds” from Edna O’Brien’s “Saints and Sinners.”

The series is facilitated by Del Hickey and David Andrews, husband and wife and retired academics who embraced the Irish culture while living and working in Ireland for six years. The couple said they fell in love with the “craic,” the music and the literature.

Those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up in advance at the main circulation desk of the library or call 338-3884, ext. 10. There are limited copies of the books available for loan at the library.
