The prayer shawl ministry of Sandy Point Congregational Church will host Crafting for a Cause in observance of National Make a Difference Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Sandy Point Community Club on Route 1.

All knitters, crocheters, quilters and spinners are invited to drop in for however long they wish to create hats, mittens, scarves, blankets, socks, shawls or whatever they would like to donate to a charity of their choice. In addition, participants are requested to bring canned goods to donate to the local food pantry.

Crafters may bring their lunch, and there will also be order forms available for boxed lunches from The Good Kettle.
