Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between Oct.7 and Oct. 12. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.

Oct. 7

Trooper Shawn Porter summoned Scott Weinhold, 18, for unnecessary acceleration and operating after suspension after stopping his vehicle on Route 3 in Belfast.

Oct. 8

Police summoned Devan Skillings, 21, of Swanville on Route 1 in Winterport for criminal speeding 80 mph in a 45 mph zone. Caleb Roy, 19, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested for violations of conditional release.

Oct. 9

Trooper Bethany Robinson received a report of telephone harassment from Frankfort. The complainant reported being stalked and receiving numerous calls from her ex-boyfriend. A warning was issued.

Trooper Porter summoned Michael Merry, 30, for operating a defective motor vehicle and possession of marijuana on East Side Lake Road in Swanville. After stopping the vehicle, Porter smelled marijuana in the vehicle and when confronted, Merry handed a glass container to him.

Trooper Robinson responded to Baker Road in Winterport for a reported burglary. The homeowner had several pain medications stolen. The incident is still under investigation.

Oct. 11

Trooper Porter summoned Joseph Bonaddio, 45, for operating after suspension after stopping his vehicle for speeding on Route 1A in Prospect. Bonaddio’s license was suspended and he was warned for speed.

Oct. 12

Trooper Evan Teel issued a criminal summons to Desirae Cushman, 25, of Frankfort for operating an unregistered motor vehicle greater than 150 days.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
