Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between Oct. 15 and Oct. 21. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.

Oct. 15

Trooper Jonathan Russell investigated a theft complaint on Penney Road in Montville. The complaint is still being investigated.

Oct. 16

Trooper Russell summoned John Keithan, 36, of Unity for displaying a fictitious inspection sticker after stopping his vehicle on Route 9 in Troy.

Police summoned Daniel Margaca, 40, for passing a stopped school bus after investigating a report of a vehicle that failed to stop for a school bus with its emergency lights activated on Route 3 in Palermo.

Oct. 17

Trooper Evan Teel and Trooper Bethany Robinson responded to a residence in Montville for a report of an unattended death.

Trooper Teel responded to Maritime Farms on Route 3 in Belmont for a report of a gas drive off. A newer model white Ford F250 diesel drove off with $77.50 worth of fuel.

Trooper Russell responded to Penney Road in Montville for a reported burglary. Evidence was collected at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

Oct. 18

Trooper Russell responded to Sandy Cove Road in Palermo for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area.

Oct. 19

Police charged Terrence O’Neill, 28, no address given with operating after suspension after stopping his vehicle on Peavey Town Road in Montville.

Trooper Shawn Porter summoned Gregory Christainson, 26, no address given with operating a defective motor vehicle (civil infraction) for having oversized tires on his truck.

Oct. 20

Police charged John Lavway, 40, no address given with operating under the influence in connection with an accident on Route 131 in Searsmont.

Oct. 21

Trooper Teel summoned Willie Leach, 20, of Morrill for operating a motorcycle without a license after stopping Leach for speed.

Trooper Russell charged Sidney Graves, 76, of Newburyport, Mass. with operating after suspension after stopping Graves’ vehicle on Route 3 in Belmont for speeding
