When the owners of Bella Books, 135 High St., got together with Camden poet Dave Morrison, they envisioned a poetry event that included an element of risk. They also wondered how anyone would actually see the poet in their shop — thus the concept of Poetry On A Ladder was born.

The public is invited to enjoy a reading from the new poetry collection ‘fail’ by Morrison, who will indeed be perched a death-defying eight feet up, Friday, Nov. 2 at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and books will be available for sale and signing. Poetry On a Ladder is part of the city’s First Friday art walk. For more information, contact Bella Books at 930-6325.
