The Maine Writers & Publishers Alliance will offer a new series of Saturday writing workshops in November. The workshops are hosted in communities around the state and focus on a variety of writing disciplines, including memoir, poetry and more.

On Nov. 10, poet Ellen Goldsmith will teach “The Poetry of Art” at Rockland Public Library; and award-winning author Elizabeth Peavey will teach the memoir workshop “The Best Truth: How Honest Are You Willing To Be?” at the University of Southern Maine’s Glickman Family Library in Portland.

On Nov. 17, Denis Ledoux will teach the memoir workshop “Lifewriting” at USM’s Glickman Family Library in Portland; and celebrated author Jennifer Jacobson will teach “Examining the Middle Grade & Young Adult Novel in Progress” at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick.
