The public is invited to a free monthly wine tasting of highlighted seasonal wines, gourmet cheese and crackers and the opening of "Art in Nature as Expressed through Photography" Friday, Nov. 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the café of Belfast Co-op, 123 High St.

Karolyn Mellino of Pine State Beverage Co.; Jaap Helder from the co-op's wine department; and photographer Shelagh Delphyne will be available to answer questions. Featured wines will be 10 percent off during the tasting. Participants must be 21 years of age or older to attend.

"Art in Nature as Expressed through Photography" is a collection of Delphyne's Maine nature photography printed on canvas and stretched over a wooden frame. She has been exploring the world around her with a camera for more than 40 years. She grew up in England, first came to Maine in 1989 and finally settled here in 1991. Delphyne covers a wide range of subjects and her photography reflects her love of the ocean, nautical themes, wildlife and all things in nature.
