The Colonial Theatre's Centennial Celebration free movie series is winding down — just two months remain in the sampling of 100 years of movies. For November, the shows are pictures made in the early 2000s and for December, they are of 2011 vintage. The series began in January with films from 1912, the year the Colonial opened its doors.

The final free screenings will be as follows. On Monday, Nov. 5, moviegoers may choose between “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” at 7 p.m. and “Crash” at 7:15 p.m. On Monday, Nov. 12, the free films will be “Chicago” at 7 p.m. and “Monsoon Wedding” at 7:15 p.m. The final night of free movies will be Monday, Dec. 3, offering “The Descendants” at 6:45 p.m., “The Artist” at 7 p.m. and “Hugo” at 7:15 p.m.
