Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between Oct. 17 and Oct. 27. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.

Oct. 17

Police responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on East Waldo Road in Waldo. Arthur Gordon, 60, of Waldo was charged with operating under the influence.

Oct. 20

Trooper James MacDonald responded to a report of a burglary on Back Palermo Road in Liberty. The complaint is still under investigation.

Trooper MacDonald stopped a vehicle on Route 3 in Belfast and charged the driver with operating after suspension.

Oct. 23

Trooper Jonathan Russell stopped a vehicle driven by Jacques Lucas, 46, on Route 3 in Montville for a defective headlight. Lucas was arrested for operating under the influence and summoned for violating license restriction.

Oct. 25

Trooper Benjamin Sweeney arrested Tony Curtis, 34, on three warrants in Northport and transported him to the Waldo County Jail.

Oct. 27

Trooper Shawn Porter stopped Joshua Nugent, 23, on North Palermo Road in Palermo for having oversized tires on his vehicle. Nugent was summons for attaching false plates and given a warning for the other violations.

Trooper Porter stopped Andrew Holmes, 19, on North Palermo Road in Palermo for not having registration plates on his vehicle. Holmes was summoned for operating an unregistered vehicle.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
