A handful of Busline League middle school basketball teams were in action on the hardwood Tuesday, Nov. 20 with student-athletes looking to make one more mark in the win column prior to the Thanksgiving break.

The following is a recap of reported Nov. 20 results:

Large School Division, boys

Medomak 8th 54, Searsport 27

At Waldoboro Nov. 20, the Riverhawks had no trouble with the Vikings, doubling up the visitors en route to victory. Medomak led 15-10, 29-15 and 42-21 at the quarter breaks.

Taylor McLain and Jonathan Allard both netted eight points to lead MMS, while Adam Eutsler added six; Cale Gee, five; Laken Harrington, Patrick White, Kyle Donlin, Cameron Allaire and Cameron Martin, all four; Maty Moore, three; and Isaac Eutsler and Zidane McMurrin, both two.

Caleb Ackley and Liam MacMillian each netted 10 points for the Vikings, while Ben Powell added six and Connor Kneeland one.

The 'Hawks were 5-of-11 (45 perfect) from the foul line and the Vikings 3-of-9 (33 percent).

Camden-Rockport 8th 52, Great Salt Bay 31

At Damariscotta Nov. 20, the Schooners prevailed for their first win of the season, this being over the host Cougars. Camden-Rockport led 11-9, 28-11 and 42-19 at the quarter breaks.

Nate Raye poured in 22 points in the win for the Schooners, while Brandon Debrosky added 12.

Large School Division, girls

Medomak 39, Searsport 30

At Waldoboro Nov. 20, the Riverhawks outlasted the visiting Vikings and prevailed by nine points. Medomak led 8-5, 20-15 and 34-21 at the quarter breaks.

Nicole Obuchon tossed in 20 points for the winners, while Kelsey Grant added seven; Victoria Wheaton, six; Cassidy Taylor, four; and Maggie Ryan, two.

Audrey Walker led Searsport with a 10-point effort, while Makayla Alley and Paige Ireland each added six; Jillian Harriman, five; Megan Grant, two; and Karigen Coffin, one.

The 'Hawks were 6-of-17 (35 percent) from the charity stripe and the Vikings 8-of-32 (25 percent).

Oceanside White 8th 27 Wiscasset 15

At Thomaston Nov. 20, the host Mariners jumped to leads of 9-0, 15-5 and 20-11 at the quarter breaks en route to the win.

For Oceanside, Haley Montgomery tallied 11 points; Kaylee McCorrison, eight; Abby Foster, Brianna Ortiz-White and Sydney Hall, all two; and Rachelle Thompson and Jillian Brooks, both one. The Mariners made 7-of-21 free throws (33 percent).

"A good first outing," said Oceanside coach Greg Billingsley. "Excellent effort by all with solid defense and patience on offense. We worked through some opening jitters and settled into a good game. A team effort on both sides of the ball with valuable contributions from each player."

For Wiscasset, True netted seven points and Chapman, Craig and Weber all two. Wiscasset made 1-of-8 free throws (13 percent).
