A hit-and-run accident in Palermo resulted in an 18-year-old man facing several charges.

Calvin Evasius, address not given, was summoned for operating under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident and disorderly conduct Dec. 5.

The crash occurred at the intersection of North Palermo Road and Chisholm Pond Road. Trooper Shawn Porter said the truck Evasius was driving suffered a couple thousand dollars' worth of damage.

When located, Porter said, Evasius started to submit to sobriety tests, but then refused. Evasius was then taken to an emergency room, where he began “hollering and using vulgar language,” Porter said. Porter then charged Evasius with disorderly conduct because of his behavior in the emergency room.
