Stanley S."Stann" Dickey, 58, passed away suddenly at his home on Jan. 12, 2013. He was born on Aug. 24, 1954, a son of Stanley E. and Rosemarie (Sykes) Dickey.

Stanley was a very sociable person and loved to surround himself with family and friends. When Stanley wasn’t with his family and friends, you could find him in the woods hunting. He was an avid fisherman. Stanley loved karaoke and loved to have a good book in his hand. Stanley was a member of the American Legion VFW and Am Vets of the American Legion.

Stanley is survived and will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Mary Lou (Collins) Dickey; a daughter, Serena Quinn, and her husband, Michael; a son, Jason Dickey, and his girlfriend, Christina Ellis; three grandchildren, Cheyenne Dickey, Derek Lane and Makala Parker; two great-grandchildren, Tristen Allen and Conner Allen. He is also survived by a sister, Mariellen Curtis, and a brother, David Dickey. He had many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Donna Dickey.

Family and friends will gather for visitations from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, at Young Funeral Home, 31 West Main St., Searsport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cancer society of one’s choice.
