A Captain Albert Stevens kindergarten class got a taste of some heart healthy food last week as part of the state standard for learning about healthy eating habits. The students in Karen Austin's class heard from guest speaker Linda Hartkopf, Regional School Unit 20's health coordinator, and tried some heart healthy foods.

The food included several varieties of fish, which was provided by Amy Nickerson of Angler's Restaurant whose son Caden is in the class. The students also created posters illustrating heart healthy foods that were hung in Angler's Restaurant in Searsport.
