Two young brothers from Swanville continue to make quite a name for themselves on the ski slopes, as Jett Lindelof, age 7, and Lake Lindelof, 9, raced to recent mountain success.

Sons of Jeff and Tracey Lindelof, Jett and Lake participated in the Winterfest Youth Alpine Race March 10 at Bigrock Ski Mountain in Mars Hill. The siblings raced in slalom and giant slalom events that day.

They returned home with four medals, including a gold, two silvers and a bronze. The brothers are members of the Penobscot Valley Ski Team and train at Hermon Mountain.

Jett earned gold and silver medals and Lake silver and bronze. The boys attend Cornerspring Montessori School in Belfast.

Lake is a third-year lower elementary student and Jett a second-year lower elementary student.

The siblings have both been downhill skiing five years. They both also have been Nordic skiing for two years, with Lake a member of the Penobscot Valley Nordic Racing Team as well.

In the winter when they are not skiing, the youngsters enjoy snowboarding, ice skating and snowshoeing. When not on the snow, their other interests include playing ukulele, gardening and swimming.
