The Thorndike woman involved in a head-on collision with a tractor-trailer truck in Benton Tuesday, March 19, died last week in the hospital.
Maine State Police Sgt. Aaron Hayden said 65-year-old Jeannine Ann of Thorndike died Thursday, March 21, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Ann was injured in an accident that occurred at 12:30 p.m. on Unity Road in Benton when she lost control of her 2003 Ford Explorer on the snow covered road and slid into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer truck, according a press release from state police.
The tractor-trailer truck driven by Michael Hogan, 31, of Bangor struck Ann’s vehicle broadside, according to the press release. Hogan was not injured in the collision.
The truck is owned by Clisham Construction of Winterport and was hauling salt at the time of the accident
