Perennially, Camden Hills has two of the top high school tennis programs in Eastern Class B.

It seems little has changed this season as Belfast battled the Windjammers Monday afternoon, April 29 in boys and girls action.

Neither Lion squad laid down for the 'Jammers, but neither could muster a win either as the Belfast boys were nipped 3-2 in Rockport and the Lions girls fell 4-1 in Belfast.

Boys tennis

Camden Hills 3, Belfast 2

At Rockport April 29, the Lions handed the Windjammers their stiffest test of the season, but came up short as the Windjammers survived to stay unbeaten.

The individual results, with Camden Hills players listed first, were: In singles, Austin Pohlman beat Tyler Martin, 6-0, 6-0; Marc Belley beat David Flood, 6-2, 6-2; and Luke Burstein lost to Kenan Mahmic, 3-6, 6-7 (5).

In doubles, Peter Vannnorsdall and Josh Pitcairn lost to Pietari Turunen and Dakota Wing, 3-6, 5-7; and Shawn Albertson and Alex Forcillo beat Gabe Alex and Logan Mitchell, 6-2, 7-5.

Girls tennis

Camden Hills 4, Belfast 1

At Belfast April 29, the Windjammers had little trouble with the host Lions and stayed unbeaten on the season.

The individual results, with Camden Hills players listed first, were: In singles, Abby Blakeley lost to Shoshanna Moll, 3-8; Camilla Walker beat Julia Ward, 8-1; and Christine Forcillo beat Kalyn Robbins, 8-1.

In doubles, Katie Vannorsdall and Macy Buck beat Ashley Keene and Mariah Hurd, 8-3; and Hannah Olsen and Katie Pratt beat MacKenzie Moore and Geneva Bielenberg, 8-1.
