The following is a synopsis of the 2013 Mount View High School girls soccer team:

Coach/years coached current team: David Page, third year.

Last year's record/playoff information: 1-12-1, 17th in Eastern Class B. The Mustangs did not qualify for the playoffs.

Roster: Seniors Alexis Strain, Morgan Clifford, Courtney Morse and Stephanie Stilkey; juniors Nicole Schofield, Tori Strain and Logan Basford; sophomores Ashlee Spaulding, Meri Picard, Jenni Nadeau, Lilly Redwine, Megan Elkins and Brittany Dugal; and freshmen Angela Strain, Vanessa Grotton and Halle Reynolds.

Known graduation losses: Kaitlin Leavitt, Mikell Grant, Alexis Morse and Katelyn Williams.

Significant impact players: Alexis Strain, Clifford, Stilkey, Morse, Basford, Tori Strain, Picard, Nadeau and Spaulding.

Team strengths: Defense, work ethic and communication.

Team goals: “Continue to work on communication, commitment to defense and moving our program towards playoff contention,” said Page.

Top league opponents: Winslow and Waterville.

Outlook: Coming off a one-win season, the sky is the limit for the Mustangs, who hope to slowly, but surely, begin their ascension up the Eastern Class B playoff ladder.
