The Searsport girls soccer team is riding a three-game unbeaten streak on the heels of the team's 5-0 home win over Deer Isle-Stonington on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

The Vikings recently bested Valley of Bingham 7-0 Sept. 30, while also battling to a 2-2 double-overtime tie with Bucksport Sept. 27 in high school pitch play.

In Wednesday's win over the Mariners, Briana Grant finished with a hat trick, scoring midway through the first half and tallying another with 40 seconds remaining, while the third came in the first minute of the second half.

Anna Bucklin and Brianna Boyle rounded out the scoring for the hosts. Allison Walker, Meagan McKeon and Ivy Blake all logged assists for the Vikings.

Alicen Brooks made seven saves on eight shots om goal for the Vikings, while Logan Eaton made 14 saves on 29 shots in net for the Mariners. Searsport held an 8-0  edge in corner kicks.

In the Maine Principals' Association Heal Point Standings for Western Class D, Searsport (4-2-3, 20.4847 points) is fifth, while Richmond (7-1-2, 37.3214 points) is first in the nine-team region. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.
