Stanton L Harding Sr., 73, died peacefully Oct. 12 at EMMC with his family by his side. He was born Dec. 13,1939, at Sisters Hospital in Waterville, Maine. He was raised in Albion by Joyce Harding. He attended Albion schools, and served his country in the Unites States Air Force as a Thundering T-bird.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved racing, Chevy trucks, tractors, watching television, being outdoors, spending time with family and eating at McDonalds.

He was predeceased by the love of his life Sandra in 2006, his adopted mother Joyce, his birth mother Wilberta, brother Anthony, and son in law Richard.

He is survived by his four children Tammy Turner, Angela Hurd and husband Kevin, Stan Harding Jr. and wife Missy, Charles Harding and wife Brandy; 10 grandchildren Matthew, Monica, Tayler, Allan, Miranda, Lacey, Kyle, Wyatt, Joseph and Samantha. He was excited to be able to meet his first great grandchild Lucas, due in December. He is also survived by two brothers Donnie Harding and Pete Crosby and his wife Nancy, and three sisters Nancy Lewis, Geri Harding and Paula Wetmore and husband Norman. He is also survived by his favorite cat Sampson.

A private viewing was held for the children on Oct. 13. Funeral services will be held Oct. 16 at 4 p.m. at Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast. Burial will be held privately at a later date at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta beside his wife at the family's discretion. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.ripostafh.com.
