The playoff pairings for Midcoast high school field hockey squads in Knox and Waldo counties are set. Officially, all four local teams have finished their regular seasons.

Oceanside, Belfast, Camden Hills and Mount View of Thorndike have qualified for their respective postseasons, which begin on Thursday, Oct. 24 at various venues.

With the regular season now in the books, area teams are locked into their respective spots.

The following is a breakdown of playoff matches for local squads:

In Eastern Class B, Oceanside (10-4, 81.8367 points) finished fourth, Belfast (7-7, 42.2959 points) fifth and Camden Hills (5-9, 24.3112 points) eighth. Nokomis of Newport (14-0, 157.85 71 points) finished first in the 11-team region. The top eight teams qualify for the playoffs.

No. 4 Oceanside will host No. 5 Belfast on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. in a quarterfinal playoff at Oceanside High School East in Rockland. The Mariners and Lions faced off once this season, with Oceanside earning a 4-0 win Oct. 15 in Rockland in the regular-season finale for both squads. The Lions are the two-time defending regional champions.

No. 8 Camden Hills will travel to face No. 1 Nokomis on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 3 p.m. in another quarterfinal playoff affair. The Warriors defeated the Windjammers 2-0 in the teams' lone meeting Sept. 28 in Newport.

In Eastern Class C, Mount View (10-4, 80.3061 points) finished fourth. Foxcroft Academy of Dover-Foxcroft (13-0-1, 136.8622 points) finished first in the 13-team region. The top nine teams qualify for the playoffs.

No. 4 Mount View will host No. 5 Dexter (10-3-1, 78.3163 points) on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. in a quarterfinal playoff game. Mount View plays a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B schedule and, thus, does not play the Tigers during the regular season.
