Donna Jean Ernest, 81 of Gorham, died on Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

She was born in Belfast, Maine on February 24, 1932, the daughter of the late Kermit Plummer and Waneta (Roberts) Leeman.

She attended and graduated from Belfast High School. Upon graduation, she became a wife, mother and homemaker. In her spare time she enjoyed playing piano, antiquing and going to flea markets.

She was predeceased by her parents and a son, Lawrence Rehlander of Belfast, Maine.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Ernest; a son, Michael Rehlander and his wife, Lorrie of Topsfield, Mass.; a daughter-in-law, Paula Rehlander of Belfast; two brothers, Ken Leeman of Orr’s Island and Dr. Bernard Eversage of Swanville; a sister, Nancy Whitely of Northport; several step-children; nieces; nephews; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, a private graveside service was held in the Eastern Cemetery in Gorham on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
