Friday, Oct. 25, there will be a presentation and discussion of the Affordable Care Act in the Carver Memorial Library led by Bjorn Streubel of Waldo CAP. This presentation starts at 1:30 p.m. and is scheduled to end at 2:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 25, starting at 6 p.m., there will be a dinner-theater production of the comedy "Contempt of Court" at Curtis Hall Vestry of the Searsport Congregational Church. Dinner will be lasagna with tossed salad and garlic bread as well as ice cream and brownies for dessert. The price is $15 per ticket.

Saturday, Oct. 26, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., there will be a "Benefit Dinner" at the Lions Club for Vanessa Moran who in August received a breast cancer diagnosis. The dinner will be turkey with all your favorite side dishes. Donations will be accepted at the door and there will be a 50/50 raffle.

Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Scratch Club begins at the Carver Memorial Library. This is for students ages 2 – 5. Scratch is an educational computer programming language designed to develop children’s interest in computer science. Participating children will be able to create stories and games using computer animation. This program offers a great way to develop new skills and practice problem solving. Space is limited, please register at the library. Available computers are limited too. Please bring your own laptop if possible.
