The School Union 69 towns of Appleton, Hope and Lincolnville will each vote on whether to approve an amended school budget Nov. 5, along with the state referendum questions.

Two of the towns, Hope and Lincolnville, amended the school budgets to use state funds to cover teacher retirement costs the state shifted to school districts last year. Appleton amended its budget primarily because of an error in the budget that was approved last June.

Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in all three towns. Appleton votes at the Town Hall, 2915 Sennebec Road; Hope votes at its Town Hall, 440 Camden Road, and Lincolnville votes at Lincolnville Central School, 523 Hope Road.
