A Hampden woman and her two passengers escaped injury after their vehicle struck a deer in Swanville Tuesday, Oct. 29.

Waldo County Sheriff's Deputy Jordan Tozier responded to the single-vehicle accident on N. Searsport Road in Swanville at 9 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Jennifer L. Cunningham, of Hampden, was driving north in excess of the posted speed limit when a deer walked into the roadway, according to the accident report.

Cunningham was unable to avoid the deer and the vehicle, a 2000 SUV, was towed from the scene due to disabling damage, the accident report stated.

Cunningham and her two passengers, Christopher Cunningham, 26, and Krystopher Cunningham, 3, did not suffer any injuries during the collision.
