A Waldo County Grand Jury indicted a Montville man on charges stemming from an October incident in which he allegedly rammed another man's truck with his own vehicle and shot out a window in the truck using a shotgun.

After it rose Thursday, Nov. 14, the grand jury indicted 51-year-old Maurice Hills of Montville, on charges reckless conduct with a firearm, two counts of terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, aggravated criminal mischief.

The charges stem from an Oct. 2 incident in which Hills allegedly returned home from work and became jealous when he learned his wife was at a male friend's home, according to previously published reports. Hills went to the residence where he proceeded to ram the friend's Toyota pickup truck with his own vehicle.

Hills then got out of his vehicle and shot out a window of the Toyota pickup with a shotgun. After shooting out the window, police reported Hills then fired a second shot.

In addition to the damage done to the Toyota pickup and Hills' own vehicle, when Hills rammed the Toyota he pushed it into the home, damaging the residence.
