Town Administrator David Kinney told the Board of Selectmen Monday, Nov. 25, the closing on the purchase of a lot on Beach Road from Robert and Joyce Collemer for a future fire station was scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Lincolnville Volunteer Fire Department Inc. had given the town $45,000 for the purchase, which was subsequently approved by selectmen and by voters.

Kinney also said the Consumer Fireworks Ordinance Committee is accepting written comments regarding how residents would like fireworks to be regulated in the town. Comments may be submitted to the committee at the Town Office, 493 Hope Road, or by email to info@town.lincolnville.me.us.

In addition, he noted the move of the Town Office from its temporary quarters in the fire station on Camden Road to the newly renovated Town Office building on Hope Road went smoothly, and thanked office staff and others involved with the move. The office re-opened in its renovated quarters Nov. 19.

The Board took no action, except to approve the minutes of the Nov. 12 meeting and the treasurer's and payroll warrants.
