Belfast firefighters battled a limousine fire behind the former Jed's Restaurant building the evening of Monday, Nov. 25.

Belfast Fire Chief Jim Richards said the vehicle fire was reported at about 4:44 p.m. on Mitchell Street behind Jed's Restaurant. Richards said he is unsure how the fire started, but believed the vehicle's catalytic converter may have gotten too hot, which ignited the grass underneath the limousine.

Richards said the limousine was totaled. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, Richards said.
