The second semester of the Dutch Soccer Academy, an indoor soccer program at Point Lookout in Northport, is slated to begin on Friday, Jan. 3.

“Initially we were going to wait until The PITCH (Penbay Indoor Turf & Community Hub) was ready before we began our programming,” said DSA co-director Robbie Krul. “However, knowing how much of an advantage it is for the players that continue to play soccer once a week throughout the winter, we didn’t want to wait.”

Krul, also co-manager of The PITCH, said the goal of the program is to “give players an opportunity to continue to work on their skills throughout the winter months in a fun and challenging atmosphere.”

Classes will be offered Fridays and Saturdays for children ages 4 and older.

Tuition is $75 per session on Fridays and $115 per session on Saturdays. There also is a one-time $15 registration fee for new players, which includes a t-shirt. Each session includes seven classes.

DSA co-director Tammy Krul said they are targeting an April opening for The PITCH.
