Charles (Charlie) Hovey Bormet from Knox, Maine and Hollister, Fla. was born in Norfolk Mass. on Sept. 18, 1958 and died Feb. 10, 2014. He passed away peacefully in his sleep after a long, courageous battle with cancer in Hollister, Fla. He graduated from King Phillip High School, class of 1976, in Wrentham, Mass. He served in the Air Force.

He is predeceased by his father William T. Bormet, his step-mother Dorothy Lee (Ramsey) Bormet, his step-father Alcide Touzin, his brother Kenneth E. Bormet and his lifelong friend Carol Gardiner. He leaves his mother Shirley (Hovey Bormet) Touzin of Bucksport, Maine; seven siblings, Dorothy (Bormet) Rush her husband Paul M. Rush of Searsport, Maine, George E. Bormet of Leesville, La, Virginia (Ginger) Bormet Waithaka and her husband Samwel Waithaka of Belfast, Maine, Theodore W. Bormet and his partner Tammy Nystrom of Swanville, Maine, Everett Bormet his wife Michelle Bormet of Searsport Maine, Billy Bormet his wife Judy Bormet of Limington, Maine, and William Bormet his wife Tanya Bormet of Washington, Maine. He leaves several neices and nephews that will miss him greatly but too numerous to name individually.

There will be a celebration of his life at Midcoast Christian Fellowship, 21 Patterson Road, Belfast, Maine on Feb. 22, 2014 at 2 p.m. There will be a celebratory reception buffet following the remembrances. For more information or directions call Ginger at 207-930-3586 or Dot at 207-548-0097.
