On Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 Deanna “Dee” (Henderson) McNeal, 41, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep lying next to her best friend, soul mate and husband Timothy McNeal.

She was born April 21, 1972 in Belfast the daughter of Eugene Henderson and Roxanne (Baker) Henderson.

Deanna was a 1990 graduate of BAHS where she was proud of her years playing field hockey as the goalie and participating in the receiving the state championship title. She attended Hesser College where she obtained a bachelors degree in criminal justice. She worked seven years as a correctional officer until her diagnosis of fibromyalgia. Despite the pain and other life-altering diagnoses including diabetes she continued to make the most out of life. She enjoyed kayaking, fishing, recreational target shooting and spending time with her mother Roxanne.

Deanna is survived by her mother Roxanne Henderson; husband Timothy McNeal; sister Sabrina Beckstrom and her husband CJ and their two children Soren and Emorie; her husband’s daughter Amy Jo and her son Justin; aunts and uncles Ken and Corrine Fitzjurls and their family, Cora Dean and Dana LaVergne and their family, and Sylvia; as well as many cousins.

She was predeceased by her grandparents Walter and Bertha Baker.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
