Two all stars, an all-academic and a Mr. Maine Basketball candidate are among the Midcoast high school student-athletes who will take part in the 26th annual Maine McDonald's High School Senior All-Star Basketball Games scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at Newman Gymnasium at Husson University.

Oceanside's Isaiah Stone-Patterson is a candidate for Mr. Maine Basketball, the highest award given to a Maine high school hoop athlete, and he and Camden Hills' Colin Morse have been selected to the East Class A/B squad.

Additionally, Camden Hills' Chandler Crans has been deemed all-academic.

No other Midcoast male or female student-athlete will take part in the event.

The Maine Association of Basketball Coaches (MABC) announced the participants for the annual event on Wednesday, Feb. 19.

The game-day program will feature head-to-head competitions between top Maine players in East versus West basketball action.

The schedule of events includes:

Game day tickets may be purchased at the door March 8 and are good for all four games. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students and children.

Players representing more than 70 high schools from across the state have been honored with selection to the all-star teams. The all stars were selected based on ballot returns in a statewide high school basketball coaches’ vote conducted by the MABC in January.

"Since 1988, the local owner/operators of Maine's McDonald's restaurants have been committed to recognizing student-athletes across the state with this hallmark sporting event,” said Mike Ortins, local Maine McDonald’s owner/operator and Ronald McDonald House Charities® Board Member. “We salute the Maine McDonald's All-Star Team players for their dedication to academic and athletic excellence, sportsmanship and team spirit.
