A Belfast woman has been summoned for failing to yield resulting in a collision after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of High and Pearl Streets Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20.

According to the accident report at the Belfast Police Department, officers summoned 20-year-old Jordan Young of Belfast with the offense after she collided with a 2009 Chevrolet truck that was registered to Mathews Bros. Company in Belfast. Jacob Brugger, 30, of Brooks, was driving the truck at the time of the crash.

The report stated Young was traveling on Pearl Street in a 2012 Chevrolet and approaching the intersection of High Street, which is controlled by a yield sign. Brugger was headed south on High Street as Young reportedly failed to yield the right-of-way to Brugger as she entered High Street and collided with the truck.

Neither Young nor Brugger was transported to a hospital by ambulance, according to the report, but Brugger complained of pain in his back after the crash and Young sustained abrasions and bruises on her head.
