Are you looking for a dog that loves to go on car rides? Do you need a dog that is small in size? Would you like to have a dog that loves to have his belly rubbed? A dog that loves everyone he meets? Do you need a small friend to keep you company? Do you know how lucky a dog would be if you adopted it?

If you answered yes to just one of these questions , then we have the right dog for you. Meet Buddy, a 2-year-old terrier mix, and a happy-go-lucky kind of dog that has been at PAWS since the end of January and thinks it’s about time he finds a home. Buddy wants to be the king of his castle and not share it with other dogs or cats — he wants all of your attention for himself. The word is that he likes sleeping by your feet and being your co-pilot in the car. He has had great fun visiting people in nursing homes and going into local stores. This little guy would make a great walking partner as he never lags behind and is always ready for the next adventure.

Buddy has waited way too long for a home, and we hope someone out there will see just how sweet and cute he is and come and adopt him. He is current on his vaccines and is micro-chipped.  Once your application has been processed, you’ll get to spend three days with Buddy so you can see just what a terrific little guy he is. At the end of the three days, we know you’ll adopt him, and you’ll get all of his medical history and a wellness certificate to use at your vet's. Don’t make our best Buddy wait any longer. Stop in and see what a great dog this youngster will make.

On our wish list: peanut butter and toys for the dogs, and cat carriers and non-clumping cat litter for the other lot.

Did you catch the moment of spring the other day? It’s nice to know it’s still out there, reluctant though it be to put in an appearance. While you (and we!) are waiting, why not stop by to meet all our wonderful girls and boys at the shelter at 146 Camden St. in Rockport? We’re open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, our phone number is 236-8702 and our website at is never closed. And please don’t forget to like us on Facebook. Thank you, as always, for your caring and support. You are wicked good friends.
