Registration for the 2014 Waldo County Little League baseball season is underway.

WCLL has seven teams this season encompassing the towns of Belmont, Brooks, Burnham, Frankfort, Freedom, Jackson, Knox, Liberty, Monroe, Montville, Morrill, Searsmont, Searsport, Stockton Springs, Swanville, Thorndike, Troy, Unity and Waldo.

The seven teams are Brooks, Frankfort, Liberty, Mount View, Searsmont, Searsport and Stockton Springs.

As of Monday, March 31, Searsport, Searsmont, Frankfort, Brooks, Mount View and Stockton Springs have reported sign-ups, while Liberty will be made public at a later date, according to WCLL president Fred Black.

Searsmont encompasses players from Searsmont, Belmont and Morrill, while Frankfort encompasses players from Frankfort, Monroe and Swanville. Searsport and Stockton Springs has only players from its own towns.

Brooks encompasses players from Jackson, Troy, Waldo and Brooks, while Mount View encompasses players from Thorndike, Burnham, Freedom, Unity and Knox. Liberty encompasses players from Liberty and Montville.

Mount View signups will be held Tuesday, April 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Mount View High School cafeteria. Children must be 7 years old and no older than 12 years old by April 30 and have a state-issued birth certificate and proof of residency.

Brooks signups will be held Thursday, April 3 and Friday, April 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Brooks Fire Station. Children must be 7 years old and no older than 12 years old by April 30 and have a state-issued birth certificate and proof of residency.

Stockton Springs held sign-ups Monday, March 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Stockton Springs Town Office. Players must be 7 years old and no older than 12 years old by April 30 and have two forms of proof of residency and a state-issued birth certificate. Searsport held sign-ups on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 18-19 at Searsport Elementary School. Players who are 7 years old and will be no older than 12 years old by April 30 and have at least one parent residing in the town of Searsport may sign up. Searsmont held sign-ups Monday and Tuesday, March 17-18 at the Searsmont Community Building. Players who are 7 years old and will be no older than 12 years old by April 30 and have at least one parent residing in the towns of Belmont, Searsmont and Morrill may sign up. Frankfort will hold sign-ups Monday, March 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Frankfort Elementary School. Players who are 7 years old and will be no older than 12 years old by April 30 and have at least one parent residing in the towns of Frankfort, Monroe and Swanville may sign up. Players must show a state-issued birth certificate and two proofs of residence. The league fee per players is $20. For more information, contact Adam Perkins at 323-9910.
