The eighth grade students at Troy Howard Middle School participated in a college-exposure field trip April 16. Students visited Unity College, UMaine or Maine Maritime Academy, and participated in an activity, admissions tour and lunch on campus. The trip was funded through the Belfast Area High School MELMAC grant, the goal of which is to increase college-going aspirations. The 2013-14 academic year was the first year of a four-year grant for Belfast Area High School.
