“Land, Sea and Home,” oil paintings of the Midcoast by Belfast artist Jerri Finch, will open with a 5 to 7 p.m. reception Thursday, June 5, at Elizabeth Moss Galleries on Route 1.

Finch is known for creating intensely saturated oil paintings and graphic imagery celebrating both the natural and inner worlds. The first half of her life as an artist was filled with multiple-piece corporate commissions and full-time sales of her work.

After decades spent creating intricate and technically demanding airbrushed fabric paintings, large in both size and scope, the second half finds her delving deep into oils.

These days, Finch is relishing working privately and small. In the past, her pieces were typically 5-by-12 feet, but they now range between 8-by-10 and 30-by-40 inches.

“Land, Sea and Home” will run through July 5. The gallery is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; for more information, check out the gallery’s Facebook page.
