Law enforcement officials with Troop D of the Maine State Police responded to the following incidents in Waldo County between June 2 and June 6. Anyone with information regarding ongoing investigations is asked to call 800-452-4664.
June 6
Trooper Benjamin Sweeney stopped a vehicle on Route 3 in Belmont for speeding. An investigation revealed Samuel Hancock, 31, of Nobleboro, was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Hancock was charged for the civil infraction.
June 5
Trooper Sweeney charged Tracey Oliver, 36, of Brooks, with criminal mischief.
June 2
Trooper Bethany Robinson stopped Anthony Jewett, 30, of Liberty, on Route 3 in Liberty for a vehicle defect. Jewett was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was summoned for sale and use of drug paraphernalia.
An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
