The annual music-on-the-streets Belfast Summer Nights concert series will begin Thursday, June 26. Waldo County’s own The Rugged will play on the downtown corner of Main and High Street, which will be closed to vehicular traffic back to the Co-op, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The music will be preceded by a Belfast Drum & Rabble Marching Costume Parade, in which all are invited to participate — bring your own noisemakers (some will be provided for children). A prize will be given for the Best Dressed for Summer costume.

The Rugged features Cody Tibbetts, Tim Valliere and Travis Lloyd, all Mt. View High School alumni who like to rock.

Attendees are reminded to bring lawn chairs and/or dancing shoes. The series is free, but donations are welcome to keep the music rolling. For more information, call 322-7123.
