The Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Management Agency (EMA) will host a full scale exercise on Saturday, July 19 at 9 a.m. This exercise will test the emergency response to a mass casualty incident resulting from a school shooting incident. The purpose for this exercise is to demonstrate the ability of law enforcement agencies, fire departments and ambulance services to work together to quickly treat a large number of casualties in a high threat environment.
Media representatives are welcome to attend and document the exercise. Please coordinate with Waldo County EMA prior to the exercise to receive badges and instructions.
For additional information, contact Waldo County EMA Director Dale Rowley at 207-338-3870 or email emadirector@waldocountyme.gov.
